Notes : (1) Thor is a mans mans man if you read the tales not the comics ! (Thunder) Loki isn't evil till the end, when his pranks become more "outrageous" (Fire) Odin is a warrior mystic - and hence the verse (Wisdom)
Tyr is the other warrior god not mentioned here It could be that the 3 represent different classes Odin : Nobility Tyr : Huscarls, trained warriors Thor : Rank and File, Farmers
(2) Sigel means lightning flash, a symbol of Thor. Also used on SS uniforms
Thorn is pain, a symbol of Hel It means Dishonour |
